<p>Doesn’t matter the sport, everyone wants to be fast. Unfortunately, not everyone is, but everyone can surely get faster. This comes down to a few key principles, and it’s not just about running a faster 30, 40 or 60 yard dash. Getting fast is first and foremost about getting strong. The more horsepower an athlete has, the more force he is able to put into the ground to get his body moving quickly. We can teach running mechanics all we want but if there is limited power being put into the ground on each stride it’s pointless.</p>
<p>Baseball is an explosive sport and it's all about moving linearly (front-to-back) and laterally (side-to-side) and the ability to start / stop quickly can be a deal breaker. This Speed and Agility Package addresses this by focusing on proper landing mechanics and deceleration, linear and lateral acceleration and first step quickness.  Thus, training first-step quickness and change-of-direction speed as well as improving mobility, strength and deceleration mechanics are the focal points of this speed development program.  The following is an outline of the programming:</p>

<p>Strength is still the foundation of most athletic qualities; the best part is, it’s also the most trainable. Optimizing a young athlete’s metabolism by developing the muscular system as well as their aerobic system has been shown to improve mobility as well as the musculoskeletal system to help reduce the risk of injury as well as enhance performance during puberty.</p>
<p>The Youth Performance Package is an all in-inclusive package designed for youth (ages 10-15) and focuses on (a) mobility, (b) improving basic movement patterns and plyometrics and (c) building muscle mass without the use of free weights.</p>

This allows the athlete to get all ranges of throwing intensity work in without the need for a throwing partner.    They are:</p>

<li>Great for re-mapping arm path</li>
<li>Key part of any throwing recovery program</li>
